How Cash on Delivery Works When You Order from Kasvera

If you’ve never bought from a new online store before, “cash on delivery” is probably the one thing that makes you willing to try. You don’t hand over card details to a website you found yesterday — you pay when the box is actually in your hands. That’s not a small detail. It’s the reason COD still accounts for roughly a third of all online orders in the UAE, even as card and wallet payments keep growing.

Here’s exactly how it works when you order from Kasvera, and what to expect at every step.

1. You place your order — no card, no account needed

Pick your product, add it to cart, and fill in your name, phone number, and delivery address at checkout. That’s the whole form. No card number, no CVV, no online payment screen — because there isn’t one. We never collect or store payment details, because every order is settled in cash at your door.

2. We confirm your order by phone before it ships

Before anything leaves the warehouse, our delivery partner calls the number you provided to confirm the order and agree on a delivery window. This step exists for a simple reason: it filters out mistaken orders and makes sure someone will actually be home to receive the package — so keep your phone reachable after you check out.

3. Your order ships — 1 to 3 days across the Gulf

Once confirmed, delivery takes 1–2 days for the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman, and 1–3 days for Saudi Arabia. You’ll get a call again shortly before the courier arrives.

4. You pay in cash — only when the item is in your hands

The courier hands you the package, you check it’s the right item, and you pay in cash on the spot. If anything looks wrong or damaged, you’re not obligated to accept it — contact us and we’ll sort out a replacement.

Why we still do it this way

Industry research on UAE e-commerce backs up what most shoppers already feel intuitively: cash on delivery is declining as a share of orders, but it hasn’t gone away, because it solves a real trust problem. A 2026 report on UAE payment behavior found that COD still makes up roughly 31% of order volume in the country, even as digital wallets and card payments grow — precisely because it removes the one thing that makes a first purchase from an unfamiliar store feel risky.

We’re a small, new store. We’d rather you see the product in your hands and decide it was worth it, than ask you to trust us with your card first.

A few things to know before you order

  • Keep your phone on. We confirm every order by call before dispatch — if we can’t reach you, the order gets delayed.
  • Have exact or close-to-exact cash ready. Couriers don’t always carry large amounts of change.
  • Check the item before the courier leaves. If something’s damaged, you can flag it immediately instead of after the fact.
  • Replacements, not refunds. Since no payment is processed online, a damaged or defective item gets replaced free of charge within 30 days — see our Refund & Returns Policy for details.
